Ford Ad Controversy: Kardashian Sisters Don?t Accept Auto Maker?s Apology

The Ford ad controversy won?t seem to go away.

Close to two weeks after the auto maker was forced to apologize for an ad from Ford India depicting what appeared to be Italy?s former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi with three women tied up in the trunk of a Ford Figo, the auto maker still has someone mad ? the Kardashian sisters.

A second, unaired print advertisement shows the three famous sisters tied up in a trunk while a smiling Paris Hilton sits in the driver?s seat.

Khloe Kardashian said she is still very upset about the ad, which has since been pulled.

?(The ad was) very rude and disgusting,? Khloe said to Access Hollywood recently.

The original Ford ad controversy erupted in late March when Ford India?s ad appeared online. Several workers were fired at JWT India, which created the print ads. Though the ad was never actually published, it showed up on a website showcasing creative advertising.

The Ford ad controversy was especially harsh in India, which has been rocked by a gang rape in late 2012 that claimed the life of a young student.

Executives at Ford apologized for the ad.

?All of us at Ford and JWT were as shocked as you were,? Ford Marketing chief Jim Farley said at an event that kicked off the New York International Auto Show. ?We are extremely sorry about the incident ? It is not acceptable.?

Ford India also released a statement.

?We deeply regret this incident,? Ford?s India unit said in an e-mail. ?The posters are contrary to the standards of professionalism and decency within Ford and our agency partners. Together with our partners, we are reviewing approval and oversight processes to help ensure nothing like this ever happens again.?

There could still be more repercussions from the Ford ad controversy. The Kardashian sisters are thinking about a possible lawsuit.

??It is unacceptable that Ford would align itself with an ad agency that would so carelessly release these ads. The Kardashians do not take this lightly and they are exploring all of their legal options,? their attorney said to E! News.

The Ford ad controversy also included a third ad, which showed Formula One driver Michael Schumacher driving a Figo with his competitors tied in the trunk.
